With the  objective of showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the world, Indian Railways introduced the “Bharat Gaurav Trains” scheme with effect from 23.11.2021.In Southern Railway, the first service of the theme-based Bharat Gaurav roundtrip train service from Coimbatore North to Sainagar Shirdi was operated on 14.06.2022.  Bharat Gaurav scheme also aims to leverage the core strengths of the professionals of the tourism sector to run theme-based trains to tap the vast tourist potential of India.  

A pair of Bharat Gaurav trains between Madurai and Haridwar via Prayagrag, Gaya and Varanasi will be operated by M/s Travel Times (India) Pvt. Limited, a registered service provider.  Interested passengers may access the registered service provider’s official website ularail.com for booking tickets.

Southern Railway will register a revenue of Rs.75 lakh per trip from operation of these Bharat Gaurav trains apart from annual charges applicable.

The service of Train No 06905 Madurai- Haridwar Bharat Gaurav Train will commence at 1.30 hrs from Madurai on 22nd September 2022 (Thursday) and reach Howrah on 29th September 2022 (Thursday).

The service of Train No.06906 Haridwar – Madurai Bharat Gaurav Train will commence at 04.00 hrs from Haridwar on 30th September 2022 and reach Madurai on 3rd October 2022.

Composition : 3-tier AC – 4 coaches, Sleeper – 6 coaches, Luggage-cum-Brake Van – 2 coaches and Pantry Car – 2 coaches.
