According priority to passenger safety and safety of train operations, and as part of ongoing safety improvement and engineering works in various sections, changes are made in the pattern train services as detailed below.

Partial cancellation of train service

Due to Line Block/Power Block at Villupuram Yard of Tiruchchirappalli Division for annual Maintenance work, the service of Train No. 06725 Melmaruvathur – Villupuram Junction MEMU Express Special leaving Melmaruvathur at 11.15 hrs on 15th, 19th, 22nd, 26th, 29th September 03rd, 06th and 10th October, 2022 will be partially cancelled between Vikravandi and Villupuram Junction. The train will run from Melmaruvathur to Vikravandi on the mentioned days and will not run between Vikravandi and Villupuram Junction.

Similarly, Train No. 06726 Villupuram Junction – Melmaruvathur MEMU Express Special leaving Villupuram Junction at 13.45 hrs on 15th, 19th, 22nd, 26th, 29th, September 03rd, 06th and 10th,  October 2022 will be partially cancelled between Villupuram Junction and Vikravandi.  The train will commence its journey from Vikravandi at its schedule departure time of 14.00 hrs on the mentioned days and will run from Vikravandi to Melmaruvathur and will not run between Villupuram Junction and Vikravandi on the mentioned days.

In Madurai Division due to maintenance works at Virudunagar Junction, The service of Train No. 16731 Palakkad Junction – Tiruchendur Express leaving Palakkad Junction at 05.15 hrs on 14th September, 2022 will be partially cancelled between Dindigul Junction and Tiruchendur. The train will run from Palakkad Junction to Dindigul Junction on the mentioned day and will not run between Dindigul Junction and Tiruchendur.

Similarly, Train No. 16732 Tiruchendur – Palakkad Junction Express leaving Tiruchendur at 12.05 hrs on 14th September, 2022 will be partially cancelled between Tiruchendur and Dindigul Junction. The train will commence its journey from Dindigul Junction at its schedule departure time of 18.00 hrs on the mentioned day and will run from Dindigul Junction to Palakkad Junction and will not run between Tiruchendur and Dindigul Junction on the mentioned day.

Train No. 16731 Palakkad Junction – Tiruchendur Express leaving Palakkad Junction at 05.15 hrs on 15th September, 2022 will be partially cancelled between Madurai Junction and Tiruchendur. The train will run from Palakkad Junction to Madurai Junction on the mentioned day and will not run between Madurai Junction and Tiruchendur.

Train No. 16732 Tiruchendur – Palakkad Junction Express leaving Tiruchendur at 12.05 hrs on 15th September, 2022 will be partially cancelled between Tiruchendur and Madurai Junction. The train will commence it journey from Madurai Junction at rescheduled time of 18.30 hrs on the mentioned day and will not run between Tiruchendur and Madurai Junction on the mentioned day and will run from Madurai Junction to Palakkad Junction (Late by 2 hours minutes)
