Mumbai and Bhusaval Division are Joint winners of Overall Efficiency Shield for 2022-23

Shri Naresh Lalwani, General Manager, Central Railway gave away the Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar to 109 officers and staff for their outstanding and exemplary work in a function held at the Yashwantrao Chavan Centre Auditorium, Mumbai on 30.10.2023.

He also gave away the Inter-Divisional Efficiency Shields to Divisions, Workshops and Railway stations for the year 2022-23. 

The details of the winners of the Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar is as follows:

• Individual Winners include:

1. Mumbai Division for Electrical and Operating Efficiency Shield,
2. Pune Division for Safety, Signal & Telecommunications and Stores Efficiency Shield,
3. Bhusaval Division for Engineering and Medical Efficiency Shield,
4. Bhusaval Electric Loco Workshop for Electrical/Mechanical Workshop Efficiency Shield,
5. Nagpur Division for Security and Works Efficiency Shield and
6. Solapur Division for Accounts Efficiency Shield.

• Joint Winners include:

1. Mumbai and Pune Division jointly for Commercial and Personnel Efficiency Shield,
2. Mumbai and Bhusaval Division jointly for Mechanical Efficiency Shield,
3. Nagpur and Solapur Division jointly for Punctuality Efficiency Shield and
4. Bhusaval and Pune Division jointly for Track Machine Shield.

• Winners in other categories include:

1. Bhusaval Division for Best Construction Unit,
2. Solapur Division for Best Division for Cleanliness Shield.

• Station Winners include:

1. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (Platform no 18) of Mumbai Division for Best Kept Garden at Station Shield,
2. Wadi station of Solapur Division for Second Best Kept Garden at Station Shield,
3. Thane station of Mumbai Division for Best Station for Cleanliness Shield under NSG-1 to NSG-5 category stations,
4. Khadki station of Pune Division for Best Station for Cleanliness Shield under NSG-5 to NSG-6 and SG-1 to SG-3 category stations.

The Shields were received by the Divisional Railway Managers of winning Divisions and Awards were collected by the winning Official from Shri Naresh Lalwani, General Manager in presence of the Shri Alok Singh, Additional General Manager, Smt Renu Sharma, Principal Chief Personnel Officer and the Principal Head of Department of respective departments winning the Shield / Awards.

Shri Naresh Lalwani, General Manager, Central Railway while addressing the gathering elaborated Central Railway's achievements during the year. He congratulated all the awardees and said that he was proud to have a strong workforce under the guidance of all Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Managers. He also appreciated the co-operation given by the trade unions. Earlier, Smt Renu Sharma, Principal Chief Personnel Officer welcomed the gathering.

All the Principal Heads of Departments, Divisional Railway Managers and other officials of the Central Railway, Smt. Shobna Lalwani, President and Executive Committee members of Central Railway Women's Welfare Organisation, recognised Union representatives were present on the occasion. The function was followed by a Cultural program. The whole programme was live cast on YouTube channel by PR Department.
