For the convenience of passengers & tourists, Western Railway has provided additional stoppage at Vadodara station to Train No. 09409/09410 Ahmedabad - Ekta Nagar Steam Heritage Special Train, which was flagged off by Hon'ble PM Shri Narendra Modi on 31st October, 2023. The Steam Heritage Special Train will be an added attraction for the tourists visiting Statue of Unity and with its unique heritage look, the travellers will be transported to the bygone era of Steam engine locomotives.

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, with effect from 5th November, 2023, Train No. 09409 Ahmedabad - Ekta Nagar Steam Heritage Special Train will arrive Vadodara station at 08.18 hrs and depart at 08.23 hrs. Similarly, Train No. 09410 Ekta Nagar - Ahmedabad Steam Heritage Special Train will arrive at Vadodarastation at 22.00 hrs and depart at 22.05 hrs. It is pertinent to mention that this train is a Weekly train and runs only on Sundays from both Ahmedabad & Ekta Nagar.
