SEALDAH DIVISION OBSERVES CONSTITUTION DAY

Sealdah Division of Eastern Railway observed "Constitution Day" to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India on November 26, 1949, which subsequently came into effect from 26th January 1950. The program was held at the Divisional Railway Manager's (DRM) office in Sealdah.

Divisional Railway Manager, Shri Deepak Nigam administered the oath of the Constitution in presence of ADRMs, branch officers and staff. Subsequently, the DRM read out the Preamble of the Constitution.

In his address, he spoke about the importance of the constitution in upholding the fundamental rights of all citizens and in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Indian democracy. He also urged the officers and staff to uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution in their daily work life.
