Sh. Joginder Singh  Lakra,  B.Tech, M.Tech & M.B.A. has taken over the charge of Additional General Manager, North Central Railway on 22-01-2024. He is an IRSE Officer of 1989 batch who did his B.Tech from NIT-Kurukshetra and M.Tech from IIT-Roorkee and has completed M.B.A. in Marketing Management.

Mr. Joginder has served various Divisions and Zonal railways including Delhi Division, Ferozepur Division, Lumding Division, Northern Railway, West Central Railway, Ministry of Railways, Delhi Metro, Northeast Frontier Railway, North Eastern Railway, etc in various capacities. While working in Ministry of Railways, various strategic decisions and policy initiatives were spearheaded including enactment / amendment of the Railways Act-2008 for expeditious acquisition of Land for Project execution, including speedy land acquisition for DFCCIL, etc.

With having a wide experience in Construction Sector of J&K, Bridges Line in Northern Railway, Tunnels and Important Bridges, New Line / Doubling Project in Madhya Pradesh in WCR, he has rich experience in asset management of track, bridges, tunnels, bridges, deep experience of Metro construction as Project Head of Mundka-Bahadurgarh Corridor in Delhi Metro.  

He has served as DRM/Lumding in Northeast Frontier Railway. He has proven track record of asset management, capacity building & enhancement as well as mitigating disaster in a quick response time, notwithstanding the major calamities that struck NFR with torrential rainfall of more than 3200mm in a week’s time in Hill section of Lumding division.  

Mr. Joginder is a strong professional bearing high acumen supported with M.Tech and MBA (Marketing) skills. With experience of more than 32 years, he has demonstrated deep skills in various disciplines and sectors of Railway, Construction, Metro and also while serving in other Administrative Capacities on Indian Railways.
