Bus stand at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway station shifted to ease traffic movement for entry and exit.

Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station is an important railway station of Delhi Area where 26 pair of trains originate/terminate including Vande Bharat & Rajdhani Express and 47 pair of trains are passing trains daily. There is a feeder road to the station where DTC buses were leading to congestion. The buses were standing o­n approach and exit road of the railway station causing traffic jam and passengers in vehicles facing problem in entering the station area.

In a major development at Hazrat Nizamuddin side main entry to the station, Delhi Division, Northern Railway had pursued the matter with Commissioner, Delhi Transportfor removal of DTC bus stand from main circulating area. A lot of space was taken for turning of buses as well as while waiting for passengers. Finally Delhi Transport Department agreed to Railway request for shifting the bus stand from there to another location about 200 metres away which will ease out the congestion at station.

Sh. Sukhvinder Singh, Divisional Railway Manager Delhi thanked the Delhi Transport Department and said that it is seen that today no Bus had entered into our circulating area and Railway have started widening of roads as well to zero down the narrowed portion or the neck point. He further saidthat it would ease movement of vehicles to and fro from the Railway station.
