WESTERN RAILWAY’S JAGJIVAN RAM HOSPITAL ORGANIZED INDIAN RAILWAY CARDIOLOGY CONFERENCE

Western Railway’s Jagjivanram Railway Hospital, Mumbai Central had recently organized the prestigious annual conference (JRHCON 2024). The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Sugandha Raha, Director General of Railway Health Services, Railway Board, the Chief Guest and Shri Ashok Kumar Misra, General Manager of Western Railway, the Guest of Honour.

According to a press release issued by The Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the annual conference was based o­n the theme ‘PREVENTION TO INTERVENTION IN CARDIOLOGY:A WAY FORWARD’ and was aptly planned looking at the present clinical situation of cardiovascular diseases in the society at large. Eminent speakers fromdifferent parts of the country shared their latest research, advancements, and insights o­n emerging trends of preventive aspect of cardiovascular illness along with recent advances which would be beneficial in the clinical practice of doctors.

The conference was well attended by senior doctors of different zonal railways and was aimed to provide a professional platform for sharing knowledge, fostering collaborative discussions, and promoting advances in preventive and interventional cardiology. The conference provided a unique opportunity for collaboration, networking and learning in the ever-evolving field of cardiac health. A souvenir was also released by Dr. Raha & Shri Mishra o­n this occasion.

DG /RHS as well GM /WR both appreciated the outstanding performance ofJRH and congratulated the committed medical team o­n becoming the first Railway Hospital in Indian Railway to have been awarded with ‘NABH accreditation.’ The NABH accreditation is a prestigious certification that proves that the hospital is dedicated to providing the best facilities for its patients’ care and that the hospital is monitored & examined to ensure the highest levels of safety. DG/RHS praised the way the conference was organised and excellent academic knowledge shared in the conference.

The conference was meticulously executed under the able guidance of Dr. Hafeezunnisa, Principal Chief Medical Director of Western Railway, Dr. Mamta Sharma, Medical Director of Jagjivanram Railway Hospital. The academic event included an amazing cultural program prepared by in house team of young medicos of JRH, which was appreciated by all the delegates.
